India: Puma sees potential in smaller towns

Monday,November 19,2012 The sportswear manufacturer Puma sees potential outside the major metropolitan cities of India,after the company has evaluated this market and anticipates significant growth.Puma wants to open several large-sized businesses and thus increase the awareness of the brand. The company is currently growing at 30-35 per cent and expected to grow even faster in the next year. "Our Focus in the coming months will focus on sales activities to build awareness of the brand,"said Rajiv Mehta,manager of Puma India during the opening of the hitherto largest business in R education content 120x600 201304 "The astronomical rents in the cities and the increasing purchasing power of the customers in smaller cities are the driving forces behind the opening of the first large-scale business in Chandigarh."
